Coach Greg

Greg Chappell

I loved Wright. He was a calming influence on the team. Lets wait and watch Greg. I dint like his Hindu articles that much. I preferred to have Moody. Felt that India's loss became Sri Lanka's gain. Anyways Indians need a professional coach, so Greg should not be a bad choice.

We need somebody who can talk tough to the captain.

Given the influence Ganguly enjoys @ BCCI and the fact that he threw his weight behind Chappell, I find it hard to expect Greg to be harsh on Gangs, which is the need of the hour.

You know what?. I personally feel Sachin should hang up his shoes. His time is over. Even if there is any it should be just one final finish. Ausssies had the guts to sack Steve Waugh, though they also had a lil bit of extra talent.

Well the need of the hour from my perspective is to start promoting domestic cricket. Bring in professionalism like the English County stuff into the domestic circuit. Bring in some NBA kindaa branding into domestic championships.

Rather than focussing on winning 2007 WC, It would be wiser to develop a strong fighting team capable of doing anything on the field. And if the WC is won, let that well be a bonus for the efforts and not a goal in itself.

Agree with you on this wholeheartedly. Infact this is to be for any desirous thing.

Take care of the means. The end will take care of itself. -Swami Vivekanda ( and ofcourse many others)

With NFL and NHL, our sports are going in the right direction. Professionalism will certainly creep in.

As you said, we need a similar thing for Cricket too. BCCI has the money muscle to flex. I don't have hope that they will do it in the short run.

You said it right.

Dear BCCI,
Please allocate 5% of your cash to MRF Pace Foundation with a goal to produce five dangerously fearsome fast bowlers within the next five years.
