It was really wonderful to see the change happen so fast.
G is taking the search bar upper and upper for others to catch up.
Its tactics are also nice - Flagship product Google Search (and its default Page) in the center of almost every product of its. - I sense this is a good tactical move as well for this desktop search.

The speed of the search is amazing. Just rocks overnight. No promotions. No advertisements for the product initially. Just plainly introduced a great product. All promotions will so willingly be done by all those who use it.

Only last week, the google guys had announced that there will be a lot of services coming in. And now we already have 3 new services. All reallly useful services in a matter of just 4 or 5 days.
So what will their next service be ?

3 new services? Mobile was interesting and Desktop search is amazing (catching the gasp) making everyone wonder!
Thing to note is. they did not feature in the labs page.
So, a distributed openrating system cannot be ruled out :)

oops, I meant Operating System.
Everybody is taking so...
But they make somewhat different. It would be a good game to predict what will be next.

Definintely need a very deep understanding of Databases, Datastructures and operating systems to develop such products. Why develop...Even to appreciate the power of similar kind of products...an understanding is required.
The whole power lies hidden in our text books.
